For Unto us a Child is born….

For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given. and the government will be upon his shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6) “Therefore the LORD Himself will give you a sign: Behold the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.” (Isaiah 7: 14) Isaiah was the prophet of Judah , spanning 4 kings…at least 40 years.

In Matthew 1: 20-23. we read of an angel of the LORD appearing to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins? So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the LORD through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.” Yesha ‘yahu and its shortened form Heshaiah mean “Yahweh is Salvation.” In other words, JESUS means Jehovah saves. The Greek word for saves is sozo, which means to make whole or complete.

The reason we celebrate the birth of JESUS, our Christ…our Messiah…the anointed one, is because He was born to save us. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. JESUS saves us spirit, soul, and body. We must believe on Him…we must trust what He has done for us…in order to be saved. He forgiveth all our iniquities and He healeth all our diseases (Is. 53). When? On the cross, He bore our sins and healed our diseases. It’s up to us to receive this gift. I can unwrap as much as we can believe for. It’s up to us.

Paul says it so well in Romans 10: 8-17:

8 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” 14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “LORD, who has believed our report?” 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

John speaks of the Word, beginning with the 1st verse of his book:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Go, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men…and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us , and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1: 1-14

Jesus is now in us …the Hope of Glory! We believe on Him..and we are saved. Now, what? Am I waiting for the sweet bye and bye? Did He save me for me to be sick and defeated and forlorn? Did He do this wonderful work for me to accept as a child and to wait until I die to receive my healing, my prosperity, my abundant life. Exactly what does my salvation mean to me…today…on December 5, 2011?

May I share some good news? Jesus is alive and well! He lives in me and all His children every moment by precious Holy Spirit. He, the living Word of God, says in Proverbs 4:20, “My son, give attention to my words; incline you ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. In Psalm 119: 9-16, we find, “How can a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your Word. With my whole heart I have sought You; oh, let me not wander from Your commandments! You word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. Blessed are You, O LORD! Teach me Your statutes. With my lips I have declared all judgments of Your mouth. I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, as much as in all riches. I will meditate on Your precepts, and contemplate Your ways. I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.

Paul tells us in Ephesians, that we stand in the evil day, with our waists girded with truth. We have on the breastplate of righteousness, and our feet are shod with the gospel of peace. Above all, we take the shield of faith which quenches all the fiery darts of the wicked one. We have the helmet of salvation, and we have the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. We don’t have carnal weapons like the world, but our weapons are mighty to the pulling down of strongholds.

We pray each day, LORD, we recognize the strategies of satan and we stop him in his tracks by speaking Your Word out of our mouths in Faith – speaking things that are not as though they are. We speak to the mountains and say, “Be thou removed and cast into the sea,” and we do not doubt but believe that we have what we say when we say it! For we abide in You, Lord, and Your Word abides in us; therefore, we ask what we will, and it will be done for us! We align our word with Your Word, asking according to Your will, and You hear us and give us our petitions. We are confident, Father, that You are at work in us, both to will and to do Your good pleasure. We exalt Your Word! We hold Your Word in high esteem and give it first place in our lives! We boldly and confidently say that our hearts are fixed and established on the solid foundation – the Living Word of God!!!

Praying God’s Word each day into the universe…aligns us with His will. In 1 Timothy 3: 16, Paul is telling Timothy that, All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. He has given His Word to speak His will into the atmosphere. Isaiah 55: 10-11 tells us, For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
If you have not prayed before to receive Christ, please bow your head and say,

LORD,
I ask that You forgive me of all my sin. I thank You for dying for me on the cross. I believe on You, LORD, Jesus. Therefore I’m saved. I am forgiven of all my sins, and by Your stripes, I’m healed!! Glory!! We’re on shouting ground now!! Tell somebody that Jesus has saved you and delivered you from the evil one. You are healed in the mighty Name of Jesus!! Amen and Amen.

we must trust what He has done for us…in order to be saved. He forgiveth all our iniquities and He healeth all our diseases (Is. 53). When? On the cross, He bore our sins and healed our diseases. It’s up to us to receive this gift. I can unwrap as much as we can believe for. It’s up to us.
